SELECTION INDEX08 PROFILESCompare by workflow, surface, read zone and system connection.

01 / PRODUCT SELECTION

Start with the
operating need.

Choose a mobile reader when a person moves through the work and can resolve exceptions at the item. When the reader is a sled attached to an existing host, confirm the host device, operating system, attachment, power and application behavior before selection. The right configuration still depends on the object, read distance, movement pattern, software handoff and support required at the destination.

03 / BEFORE YOU ORDER

Choose by the
operating need.

Choose a mobile reader when a person moves through the work and can resolve exceptions at the item. When the reader is a sled attached to an existing host, confirm the host device, operating system, attachment, power and application behavior before selection.

01

Host application and operator feedback

Define the screen, action and feedback that turns a read into a count, receipt, handoff or exception the operator can resolve. For a sled, record the host device, operating system, interface and the application action already in use, and assign one owner for host updates, sled behavior, replacement and troubleshooting.

02

Carry, charging and offline routine

Map how the device is carried, charged, shared and used when connectivity or the destination system is temporarily unavailable. A sled adds a second device and its own power state to that routine.

03

Representative tag and item test

Test the actual item, tag placement, movement and repeat-scan behavior before treating a mobile profile as ready for volume.
