A useful buying decision starts with the operating question, not a product short list. Use these prompts to define the work, compare complete options and agree the evidence needed before a project commitment.

01 / FIELD NOTE

Anchor the decision

Name the operation that needs to change and the item, case, pallet, tool, container or asset involved. State the business action, event owner and exception that make the decision worth evaluating.

02 / FIELD NOTE

Map the item and movement

Record material, size, surface, packaging, attachment point, reuse, normal orientation, grouping and movement. These conditions shape the tag, reader, installation and operating path that need to be compared.

03 / FIELD NOTE

Define the event and handoff

Describe the intended observation, location, trigger, timing, normalized event and receiving system or person. Include the action for a missing, duplicate, unexpected or delayed identity before selecting equipment.

04 / FIELD NOTE

Compare complete candidates

Compare the tag, reader, antennas where relevant, mounting, power, network, application behavior, integration and operator feedback as one workflow. A category or model comparison alone does not prove the selected arrangement supports the required event.

05 / FIELD NOTE

Set the project boundary

Separate the equipment discussion from the work needed for samples, installation, integration, training, support, change control and acceptance. Confirm the selected configuration, destination requirements and responsible parties before treating a project scope as final.

06 / FIELD NOTE

Choose with evidence

Use the same representative items, movement, system mapping and exception cases for each candidate. Retain the tested configuration, observations, normalized events, recovery actions and agreed acceptance evidence before expanding the workflow.

Make the next conversation specific.

Bring your material, movement, target read and system context to a sample or quote request.
